Weekend Fun

We had a fun weekend after a not so fun Thursday and Friday for little man. He had a nasty cough start up earlier in the week and Thursday he was sent home from daycare with a fever.  After lots of rest( he went to BED at 5:30 Friday night) he was feeling much better Saturday.  He got in lots of play time with his cousin Kendall!
Showing off his new ISU sweatshirt and hat- looking good!!

Games/Kitchen

Colton is a game lover!  One of his favorite games is his fishing game.  He "catches" a fish and says what color it is, then has to find the matching colored boat.

My mom came to visit for the weekend. Saturday we went to Council Bluffs to get some shopping done We went to Gordmans for my first visit-- LOVE IT... I will be making some more trips back for sure! We picked up some paint for the kitchen. I've been wanting to get this painted since we moved, but just haven't found the right time to do it. With my mom here, we decided to get it done yesterday.  Thank god for Moms to help! :)

Here are some after photos...
Good bye wallpaper! :)

Winter Fun....

Last weekend we headed to Marshalltown to see my family.  Since it was so yucky out we found something fun to do inside...bowling!
Colton LOVED it. We played 3 games and I think I bowled twice...he bowled the rest of the times for me. He got to use the rack to roll the ball down and they had a lighter ball that's made for younger kids. We will have to take him some more!

Last week we had a few snow days so we had to get creative with all the free time at home! I found one of Mike's old basketball jerseys and Colton shot some hoops wearing it. He thought he was pretty cool stuff!

Then we built a tent out of blankets to lay down and watch Toy Story. That is his new favorite movie for now- if we let him, he would watch it ten times a day!!  I am kinda glad we are getting out of the Barney stage! :)

Note how much STUFF is in his tent. He had to bring all of his pillows, blankies, and of course, Buzz, Woody, and Rex in with us!
