Happy Mother's Day :)

My 1st Mother's day was great! The day started out with a great present from Colton- he slept in until 8:30 (which NEVER happens). Mike gave me some hanging baskets for our porch since I killed the other ones we had...oops! I also got a coffee mug, which will get ALOT of use in the mornings when Colton decides to get up extra early! I got to see my Mom on Friday and Saturday and then we headed to Mike's parent's for dinner Sunday.

These are the stepping stones I made for my mom and Mike's mom for Mother's Day.

Marshalltown Visit

Friday morning Colton and I headed to visit my parent's in Marshalltown. I was packing up everything and found Colton's baseball hat- so of course he had to try it on :) Don't mind the drool on his pajamas :)

Friday we went to help out at a benefit garage sale my dad's work was hosting for a guy that works there that has cancer. It was such a nice day- Colton loved being outside the whole time and took a pretty long nap in his stroller!

Rain Rain...GO AWAY!

Instead of getting outside today and getting some fresh air,we have been some house bums! As much as we like having Mike around when it rains- we want some sunshine and HOT weather! This morning I cleaned out my summer clothes and organized Colton's closet...we are ready for summer!

Check out that hair. It is starting to grow over his ears but he has a little way to go before a haircut is needed. Mike said if Colton can go without a haircut, he can too. Hmm.....I'm not too sure about that one. :)

Birthday party, Toes, and Sitting up.....

Saturday night Colton stayed over at Mike's parent's house while I headed to Des Moines for the night. It was great to catch up with some of my Des Moines friends! Colton must have had an exciting time at Grandma and Grandpa's Saturday night with his cousins, Matthew and Reagan because he slept like a rock last night. He fell asleep at 8:30 and woke up at 7 this morning! Out with Burt and Rachel. Happy 23rd Birthday Rach!!!

Such a big boy sitting up. He has seemed to change so much in the past week! He is sitting up like crazy and can hold his bottle up for awhile...until he forgets that he is the one doing the work and drops it. :) We were playing with him last night and he got up on all fours a few times (and then fell right back down) but I guess it was some progress at least. :) ohh....some hair for me to grab! Someone found their toes yesterday....

Yum yum! It was so funny watching him try to suck on his toes! Drool was EVERYWHERE!

Rubber ducky

He's been sitting up so well lately and rolling over like crazy. He's began scooting backwards some as well. We will keep practicing on that crawling :)

He is such a curious boy....always has to feel things out. Thursday night we headed to Target in Council Bluffs. We got Colton a bigger bathtub since our house only has showers and he has outgrown his other one (he's such a long boy!!!). His new tub has a padded back where he can sit up and is meant for toddlers as well as infants.

We ate at Applebees before shopping and Colton kept busy watching all the screaming kids around us. His face was like ''oh my gosh they are loud, what is going on?!'' We were thankful they kept him entertained....and he didn't want to join in!!

Tonight Colton is headed to Mike's parents for the night. I'm heading to Des Moines to a friend's birthday party and Mike will be working late and getting some guy time in afterwards. The little guy decided to sleep in until 7:00 this morning...hopefully he does that for them tonight!!!
