Goin' to a baseball game

This was Wednesday night before heading to Mike's baseball game. Hopefully it will be the only game all year we have to break out the winter hat to go to!!! Talk about some crazy Iowa weather....freezing to 87 out! :)

Carrots anyone?

Last night for dinner I let Colton have some fun after he finished his carrots. Suprisingly he didn't get it anywhere but right on the tray and on his face/hands....he loved it :)

6 month checkup

All worn out from his 6 month checkup and shots

6 month stats:

Height-- 27.3 inches (75th percentile)

Weight-- 20 lbs 13 oz (90th percentile)

The doctor said he is growing like crazy, which I notice everyday carrying him in his carseat! :) Everything is good- he has mastered all the skills the doctor said he should have by now and even has started doing some that he should master between 6-9 months. He gets to move onto the 2nd stage foods now that contain proteins and combines different foods- such as mac & cheese, chicken noodle, and vegetable beef. He's such a good eater- I am sure it won't be hard starting those :)

We head to the doctor today for his 6 month checkup and some shots. I'll post his weight/height details later.

1st time Swimming

Memorial Day Weekend

Whew....the 3 day weekend is over and it was a busy one!

Friday night Mike and I headed to CB to get some stuff at Target. Saturday we headed to his cousin's graduation party and then Sunday we headed to my parent's in Marshalltown. Lots of traveling but Colton slept whenever we were in the car- so it went well :) When we got home yesterday we set up his pool outside. Looks pretty cloudy/rainy today- so won't get to try it out just yet.Working on a new tooth

Got a little swinging in too. We got a swing this weekend so we are going to try to find a place in the yard to hang it up.

This morning he decided he wanted to bite the baseball instead of hit it w/his hands like he usually does. It was pretty funny to watch :)

Warm weather is here!!!!

It has been so warm the past few days and we LOVE it! We've been outside as much as possible. We have been to the park many times and caught a few pee wee baseball/softball games. He's done pretty well at those games. Hopefully he can do the same at Mike's baseball games!!

I got crafty last week and tried to make something for Colton to wear to Mike's baseball games. It was easier than I thought it would be. I just printed out the design on the computer on some iron-on transfer paper and ironed it on the onesie. I tried to get a picture of him wearing it...and got a grumpy boy that didn't want to mess with pictures! :)

Ahhh all better as long as I can play with my toys and you get that camera out of here! :)

We have a mover!

Look at that concentration! He was going crazy playing with his basketball hoop. He kept pushing down the rim and it kept cheering for him....I think he likes having his own cheerleader :) He has been moving around like crazy! No matter where I put him on the floor- he ends up across the room...the other night he ended up under the coffee table. He isn't up on all 4's yet- but rolls and kind of army crawls a little. Here is a video of him going around in circles :)

Happy Mother's Day :)

My 1st Mother's day was great! The day started out with a great present from Colton- he slept in until 8:30 (which NEVER happens). Mike gave me some hanging baskets for our porch since I killed the other ones we had...oops! I also got a coffee mug, which will get ALOT of use in the mornings when Colton decides to get up extra early! I got to see my Mom on Friday and Saturday and then we headed to Mike's parent's for dinner Sunday.

These are the stepping stones I made for my mom and Mike's mom for Mother's Day.

Marshalltown Visit

Friday morning Colton and I headed to visit my parent's in Marshalltown. I was packing up everything and found Colton's baseball hat- so of course he had to try it on :) Don't mind the drool on his pajamas :)

Friday we went to help out at a benefit garage sale my dad's work was hosting for a guy that works there that has cancer. It was such a nice day- Colton loved being outside the whole time and took a pretty long nap in his stroller!
